About the job

YouTube’s ecosystem is constantly growing and evolving, and it is critical to deploy resources efficiently to best serve YouTube’s users, creators and advertisers globally. We believe it's critical to use data to run our business and drive the decisions we make. Our Product Strategy and Operations Team (PS&O) partners with Product and Engineering leaders to help them run each major part of our business.

YouTube’s Growth Platform (“Nitrate”) delivers billions of in-app messages to users everyday to drive product discovery and growth. It’s a critical growth channel that leverages ML-based recommendations to promote YouTube paid subscriptions, highlight product features, and drive watchtime across various content segments (e.g., cultural moments, live sports, new music releases, etc.).

As the Product Strategy and Operations (PS&O) Lead for Nitrate, you will play a critical role in scaling its impact across YouTube. PS&O sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, contributing to some of the highest profile work at YouTube. Your work will generally span across 3 areas: defining and measuring product health, conducting deeper analysis to inform actions to take, and shaping the longer-term direction and product strategy.

You will be embedded within the Nitrate team, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. We work together to give everyone the power to share their story, explore what they love, and connect with one another in the process. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and boundless creativity, we move at the speed of culture with a shared goal to show people the world. We explore new ideas, solve real problems, and have fun — and we do it all together.
