GCP Data Engineer - LATAM

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a GCP Data Engineer for a top enterprise client supporting a high-priority data-transformation initiative. This consultant will design and develop scalable data-integration solutions that bring new data assets into established enterprise structures, reporting environments, and operational processes. The role will use GCP, Python, SQL, BigQuery, and DBT to build automated pipelines and transform large, complex datasets into accurate and trusted data products.

Skills and Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, or comparable cloud-based data platforms
• Strong Python and SQL development skills
• Experience designing, developing, and automating ETL/ELT data pipelines
• Experience integrating new data sources into enterprise data models, data warehouses, reporting environments, and operational systems
• Experience working with large, complex enterprise datasets
• Working knowledge of BigQuery
• Working knowledge of DBT
• Understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts
• Experience analyzing source data and creating mapping specifications
• Strong knowledge of data-quality validation, accuracy, completeness, and consistency practices
• Experience troubleshooting data-integration failures, processing issues, and performance bottlenecks
• Experience with additional GCP services, including Cloud Storage and Dataflow
• Familiarity with Google Gemini or other AI-assisted development tools
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate development and improve solution quality
• Experience integrating large-volume structured and unstructured datasets
• Knowledge of enterprise data governance, metadata management, and data lineage
• Experience supporting cloud-modernization or data-platform enhancement initiatives
• Experience in large-scale enterprise data environments
• Three or more years of data integration, data engineering, or ETL/ELT experience •Experience supporting production deployments, monitoring, incident resolution, and operational activities
