Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Automation & Controls Engineering Intern is to contribute to the Nucor team, focusing on achieving exceptional results in the areas of safety, cost, and reliability. The role will be hands-on and interactive with the maintenance and production teams in the field. The selected candidates job responsibilities will include:- Learning automation/control and process fundamentals involved in steel making.- Maintenance/Engineering projects focused on safety, cost, and reliability.- Preventive & predictive maintenance programs and routines.- Routine maintenance and troubleshooting equipment and process related issues.- Learning and applying new skills in automation, controls, power transmission and pneumatics. Minimum Qualifications:

• Rising Junior or Senior.

• Fundamental knowledge of automation and controls.

• Willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
