Senior Payroll Business Analyst

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Payroll Business Analyst to join a manufacturing company. This role will not require you to go into the office and will be remote.

Day to day:

• Partner with the Payroll Tax Analyst to assess and strengthen U.S. payroll tax compliance across SAP ECP and ADP SmartCompliance, including issue resolution, corrective actions, and process documentation.
• Support critical Payroll projects and change requests (CRs), including analysis, testing, validation, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
• Lead and support Payroll projects and issue resolution, partnering with Corporate Tax, Finance, HRIS, Benefits and other stakeholders as needed.
• Identify business and/or system process gaps, recommend improvements, and maintain Payroll process documentation.
• Research payroll compliance requirements and evaluate “what-if” scenarios.
• Test payroll results related to wage-type configuration, system changes, patches, and CRs.
• Analyze payroll system and vendor data for reconciliation, research, validation, and year-end Payroll support.

The pay rate for this role is to be determined by the hiring manager during the interview process based on years of experience of experience, skill and alignment with the requirements. Pay rate: projected to be between 50-53/hr.

Skills and Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive Payroll experience, including complex U.S. multi-state payroll.
• 3+ years of hands-on SAP ECP experience preferred.
• Strong hands-on U.S. Payroll experience in a complex, multi-state environment; Canadian payroll experience preferred.
• Advanced SAP ECP experience, including reporting, analysis, testing, issue resolution, and interpretation of wage-type configuration, payroll rules, accumulators, and downstream impacts.
• Strong U.S. payroll tax experience; ADP SmartCompliance strongly preferred, with Canadian payroll tax knowledge a plus.
• Strong reporting and data analysis skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel.
• Strong judgment, organization, and prioritization, with the ability to shift priorities and follow through.
• Curious, resourceful, adaptable, and collaborative, with strong systems aptitude, learning agility, effective communication, and a collaborative approach to competing priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience; CPP preferred
