Full job description

Job Overview:

Under the supervision of the principal and assistant principal, school aides support the operation of the school by performing various clerical activities and student support activities. This position focuses on creating a welcoming, safe environment for students and supporting the smooth operation of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs clerical duties: copying, faxing, filing, distributing teaching materials such as textbooks, paper, and workbooks, etc.

  • Purchases materials for special events, school activities as needed for the daily function of the school.

  • Answers telephones and performs light reception work.

  • Makes phone calls to parents, companies, or other stakeholders, as needed.

  • Completes inventories and stocking supplies.

  • Welcomes teachers, students, and parents.

  • Performs breakfast, lunch, and dismissal duty.

  • Organizes and supervises games and other recreational activities to promote mental, physical, and social development during recess.

  • Performs bus duty, including assisting with monitoring students boarding buses, ensuring that students board their designated buses.

  • Evidences of self-motivation and willingness to be a team player.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma required

  • Food Protection Certificate preferred

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
