Precast Concrete Laborer

PeopleReady of Hickory, NC is now hiring Precast Concrete Laborers in Conover, NC to help manufacture concrete culverts used for drainage systems.

This is a hands-on, physical position where you'll work as part of a small team to prepare forms, tie rebar, pour concrete, and help manufacture precast concrete products. This is team-based work rather than a fast-paced production line , with crews of approximately 4-5 people working together to complete each project

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17 - $17 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Precast Concrete Laborer:

• Work with a team to manufacture concrete culverts and other precast concrete products used in drainage systems

• Tie and position rebar to reinforce concrete forms

• Prepare and set up forms for concrete pours

• Assist with mixing, pouring, spreading, and finishing concrete

• Help remove completed concrete products from forms once ready

• Measure and position materials according to work instructions

• Use hand and power tools as needed

• Move materials and supplies throughout the work area

• Clean forms, tools, equipment, and work areas

• Work closely with a crew of 4-5 team members to safely complete each project

• Follow all workplace and jobsite safety procedures

• Perform other general labor duties as assigned

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• Previous construction, concrete, precast concrete, rebar, or general labor experience is preferred

• Experience tying rebar is a plus

• Comfortable performing physically demanding, hands-on work

• Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools

• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, crouch, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift

• Ability to lift and move materials as required

• Strong focus on workplace safety

• Background check and drug test required
