Key job responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the Global Promotions team to develop ROI models, evaluate offers, and craft compelling financial analyses that inform promotional campaigns.

  • Proactively dive deep to ensure reporting accuracy, audit financial data, identify root causes of discrepancies, and implement solutions to resolve finance issues

  • Enhance financial controllership through sophisticated reporting and process improvements, leading projects to execute on improvement opportunities with measurable results

  • Leverage data-driven insights to identify and implement strategic opportunities for optimization, sharing findings and recommendations with leaders to influence decision-making

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

  • 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

  • 3+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience

  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of Tableau

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
