Position Summary

As the Supervisor Supplier Quality, you will lead a team responsible for supplier quality assurance, supplier development, and first article inspections. You will guide quality control efforts, support process improvements, and help resolve production issues. This position plays a key role in building strong supplier relationships and supporting reliable manufacturing operations.

What you will be doing

Lead, develop, and implement quality control objectives, audits, and inspection plans to resolve production issues, maximize reliability, and minimize cost.

Drive immediate and long-term corrective actions through root-cause analysis, line support, and process improvement initiatives.

Oversee procurement and use of gauges, supervise capability studies, and ensure effective measurement systems.

Communicate quality concerns, progress, and corrective actions to management, customers, and OEMs.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, promote 5S and safety practices, and support special projects as needed.

Drive supplier development initiatives, mentor quality teams, and lead cross-functional efforts to enhance supplier performance and product quality.

Basic Requirements:

Associate's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field + 4 years of experience in supplier quality or quality engineering.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field + 2 years of experience in supplier quality or quality engineering.

Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.

JD/PhD in Engineering, Business, or related field.

In lieu of degree, 6+ years of experience in supplier quality or quality engineering.

Preferred Requirements:

Advanced knowledge of engineering science, technology, and their application to manufacturing and quality improvement for internal combustion engines.

Experience with quality systems, manufacturing processes, cost optimization, and raw material evaluation for engine production.

Proficient in GD&T and advanced use of precision measurement tools and gauges.

CQE, CQA, or equivalent professional certification.

Demonstrated Six Sigma expertise, including Green Belt or higher certification, with experience leading cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
