Full job description

Employment Type: Full timeShift: Day Shift Description: RN required Work is on sitePosition Purpose The Performance Improvement Specialist implements and maintains a compliant, comprehensive, organization-wide, Safety, Quality and Performance Improvement Program.

What you will do

  • Perform audits and gap analysis in response to patient and family concerns, department specific events or trends, and other authorized parties
  • Communicate serious adverse events occur and follow through on submission of required documentation
  • Analyze monthly data, create, and drive performance improvement activities, and help implement change
  • Assist in training safety curriculum for all staff
  • Conduct root cause investigations in surgery
  • Perform chart reviews and audits to support investigations

Minimum Qualifications

  • CT RN license required
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, or related field preferred
  • At least five (5) years hospital experience preferred
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, patient quality of care and safety initiatives; RCA or Lean Management skills preferred
  • Leadership experience with regulatory requirements for reporting and subsequent response criteria

Pay Range: $37-57 per hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
