Special Procedures Tech - Interventional Radiology

WORK LOCATION: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231
WORK HOURS: Full Time Days Hours of operation are Monday - Friday . 10-Hour Shifts 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM; On-Call requirements and must live within a 30 minute drive

HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
-
Associate Degree, applied science required or
-
Completion of accredited program or radiology technology required or
-
High School Diploma plus 2 years work experience in special procedures required.
-
1 Year vascular or cardiac angiography Preferred OR
-
2 Years required with high school diploma Required
-
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required or
-
RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist upon required or
-
RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist upon hire or
-
GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist if ARRT upon hire and
-
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
-
Imaging Quality and Processing:
-
Identifies, troubleshoots, and initiates quality improvement.
-
Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam.
-
Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
-
Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
-
Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
-
Performs assignments deemed necessary by supervisor.
