Employment Type: Full timeShift: Day Shift Description: Position Summary: Provides operations and optimization leadership focus. May provide leadership and direction through managers or senior managers. Responsible for directing, coordinating, and affecting large complex processes with strong dependencies and broad resources. Accountable for the performance, regulatory readiness and results of large, strategic/diverse disciplines across cross-functional teams or departments. Accountable to ensure organizational mission, values and goals are being carried out within a matrixed organization.
What the Emergency Room Director will need:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice / employment.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited school of nursing required within 18 months of hire.
- Leadership experience or other experience / licensure / certifications aligned with area of responsibility and assignment.
- Valid driver’s license where required by assignment.
What the Emergency Room Director will do:
- Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates our Trinity Health Mission, Values, Actions & Promise in behaviors, practices & decisions.
- Acts independently & appropriately within license, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area. Supports safety by adhering to standards & acting as a champion role model.
- Accountable for personal learning & development by participating in knowledge, skill & competency enhancing activities.
- Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates (document, teach, coordinate, advocate) standard elements of professional practice: Assess, Diagnose, Outcomes Identification / Solutions, Plan, Implement, Evaluate (ANA); Participates in the development of clinical standards that are collaborative, collegial & supported by current & relevant evidence-based practices, science, trends & data (clinical & administrative) & patient care (AONL).
- Inspires team to embrace the organization’s Mission, Values & Vision;
- Cultivates excellence by supporting growth & development of team; Advocates for continuous development with focus on mentoring & succession planning; Engages & fosters transpersonal teaching & learning in the context of the caring relationship;
- Embraces & encourages humanistic-altruistic values & behaviors; Advances nurses & others in the provision of quality-focused, patient-centered & relationship-based healthcare;
- Utilizestransformational leadership principles (Magnet); Leads team effectively through change, recognizing reach beyond nursing to include broader healthcare implications;

- Enhances a culturally proficient work team through respect, dialogue & inclusion.
