Job Summary
This position is responsible for leading and strengthening Manufacturing Engineering and Process Engineering in support of production operations, new product introduction, and product scale-up. The role provides strategic and day-to-day leadership for a multi-disciplinary engineering team and is accountable for safe, efficient, scalable, and cost-effective manufacturing execution, while driving process capability, capacity planning, quality improvement, operational readiness, and leadership bench strength across the portfolio.
Job Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and manage a multi-disciplinary team of manufacturing engineers, process engineers, and technical leads in support of production operations, including coaching high-potential talent and building bench strength to support succession within the organization.

Establish team priorities, allocate resources, and execute engineering activities on schedule and within budget, reinforcing engineering standards and management routines that strengthen execution discipline across the team.

Own execution and drive priorities for Manufacturing Engineering and Process Engineering, translating functional strategy into production plans, standards, and results for new product introduction, production scale-up, and sustaining operations.

Drive improvements in manufacturing quality, efficiency, yield, throughput, and cost through disciplined continuous improvement initiatives.

Define, standardize, and maintain manufacturing plans, production flows, test strategies, and capacity plans to support repeatable execution, scale, and long-term operational readiness.

Partner cross-functionally with Production, Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Line Managers to ensure manufacturability and operational readiness.

Lead process development, process control, and implementation of right-sized manufacturing technologies, tooling, test methods, and capital solutions within technical and resource constraints.

Oversee failure reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action implementation to resolve production and process issues.

Support operations planning and business growth by providing manufacturing and process-engineering input to proposals, customer-facing materials, product roadmaps, capacity planning, and broader business planning activities.

Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and alignment with organizational mission, values, and objectives, while developing future functional leaders to strengthen long-term organizational capability.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field required; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, production engineering, or related operations support roles, including demonstrated leadership responsibility in a production or manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated success leading technical teams in a production or manufacturing environment, establishing engineering standards, driving operational discipline, and developing technical talent and future leaders.

U.S. Citizenship required.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance within a reasonable period after hire, if not currently active.
The salary range for this position is $156,192/year - $223,422/year. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for: annual performance-based bonuses, equity awards, and overtime pay (for non-exempt employees as applicable.
