Sweetser has a new opening for a Clinician working with our adults in the Brunswick Crisis Stabilization Unit! Within the framework of recovery and resiliency provides client centered short term therapy to an individual experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
Salary Range:
Conditional Licensure $60,000 - $62,000 dependent on years of experience
Independent Licensure $62,000 - $70,000 dependent on years of experience
Sign - On Bonus: $2,500
POSITION DETAILS:

Completes timely comprehensive assessment ofindividuals admitted to the Crisis Stabilization Unit.

Collaboratively develops treatment plans andmonitors progress of goals.
-
Responsible for coordination of care withinternal/external providers and naturals supports.
-
Provides clinical supervision and training to CSUdirect care staff.
-
Creates and implements comprehensivedischarge/aftercare plan for each individual.
-
Transports clients, when needed.
-
Provides necessary information/communication tomeet all requirements needed for managed care authorization of servicesand 3 rd party insurance reimbursement.

Ensures proper releases and service agreements areacquired.
-
Ensure documentation is timely and reflectsmedical necessity.
-
Attends treatment team and service planningmeetings when requested.
-
Provides coverage to the milieu, as needed.
-
Performs all other duties as assigned.

Recognizes signs of increasing clinical orsituational risk and of escalating behavior and utilizes de-escalation andsafety implementation techniques effectively.

Recognizes variables underlying stressfulsituations, discerns methods to diffuse or contain them and quicklyimplements the most effective intervention.

Provides crisis/risk assessments anddevelops/implements stabilization plans that are creative and specific tothe persons served and their needs, and promotes health and growth withthe goal of reintegration into the community.

Manages multi-task situations and conflictingdemands, copes with stressful situations, prioritizes projects andresponsibilities, and meets critical deadlines.

Maintains current knowledge in present practicearea, i.e., attendance at required hours of organization educationalprograms and utilizes clinical supervision as a learning experience.

Demonstrates ability to work with diversepopulations and accepts differences in perspective and values.

Communicates ideas and opinions in a clear andconstructive manner, both verbally and in writing.

Intermediate computer skills required.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree in either social work, psychology,clinical counseling or other comparable mental health programs.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

LCSW, LCPC or LMFT, conditional licensureaccepted, and licensing test candidates are encouraged to apply,reimbursement for exams provided! ( Individual and group supervisionprovided towards independent licensure)

Maintain a valid state driver's license.

Must be able to speak, read, and write Englishfluently.
EXPERIENCE:
-
Preferably two years’ relevant experience.

Persons with lived experience in the Mental Healthand/or Substance Abuse system are encouraged to apply.
