Job Description

SPEC / Generalist Scheduler Role: This senior-level role serves as the primary scheduling lead and client-facing advisor for large-scale capital projects. The individual will partner with key stakeholders to develop and manage integrated project schedules, resource plans, and project controls strategies from early planning through commissioning and closeout. This role works closely with project controls, engineering, construction, and client teams to ensure schedule integrity, identify risks, and drive successful project delivery.

Project Portfolio:

  • Data Centers, Life Sciences / Pharmaceuticals, Industrial & Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules
  • Lead schedule planning sessions, progress reviews, and schedule risk assessments.
  • Analyze critical path activities, schedule impacts, and recovery plans.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and validation activities within the master schedule.
  • Provide schedule reporting, forecasting, and strategic recommendations to project leadership and clients.
  • Mentor junior schedulers and support project controls best practices.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional certification preferred (e.g., PMI-SP, PSP, PMP, or equivalent).
  • Twelve or more years of related scheduling/project controls experience with at least 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Data Center experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to influence the strategic direction of project controls or scheduling functions within a business unit or practice area.
  • Advanced expertise in project scheduling methodologies, including CPM, resource loading, and schedule risk analysis.
  • Expert-level client engagement, stakeholder management, and consulting capability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex schedule data to executive stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of construction and project delivery processes, including integration with cost, risk, and change management.
  • Software skills: Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project; working knowledge of scheduling analytics tools and Microsoft Office suite.
