Full job description

Job Description

This individual will support a long-term data center environment for Capital Group, working across several customer sites in the West Los Angeles area. Their day-to-day responsibilities will include performing rack and stack installations, troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues, handling break/fix activities, supporting fiber and copper infrastructure, and responding to customer requests in a production environment. The technician will work closely with another onsite technician to respond to customer requests, resolve production-impacting issues, and assist with ongoing infrastructure needs. Because this is a customer-facing role, the ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating directly with end users, managing priorities independently, and building strong relationships while delivering a high level of service. The environment is team-oriented and requires someone who can take initiative, problem-solve effectively, and thrive in a smaller, more hands-on setting.

Skills and Requirements

2+ years of Data Center Technician experience Experience with rack & stack deployments Strong break/fix troubleshooting experience Experience working with fiber and copper cabling Ability to work independently with minimal training Strong customer-facing communication skills Experience supporting production environments and responding to onsite issues Ability to travel between multiple sites in the West Los Angeles area Comfortable working as part of a small, collaborative team Leadership or management experience Experience managing work queues and customer communications Strong administrative skills and attention to detail Experience building long-term customer relationships Self-starter mentality with demonstrated initiative
