Description

Village Point is seeking an experienced Per-Diem COTA to join our team!

Village Point is a Springpoint Senior Living Community located in Monroe Township, NJ. We are seeking a Per-Diem COTA to join our team. At Springpoint, the COTA aids in providing rehabilitative services to persons with mental, physical, emotional, or developmental impairments.

Responsibilities:

  • Works under the direction of occupational therapists to plan, implement, or administer programs that restore or enhance performance in individuals with functional impairments.

  • Monitors patients' performance in therapy activities and provides encouragement.

  • Assists in instructing patients and families in home programs, basic living skills, or the care and use of adaptive equipment.

  • Observes and records patients' progress, attitudes, and behavior.

  • Assists occupational therapists with implementing treatment plans.

  • Reports to supervisors on patients' progress, attitudes, and behavior.

  • Performs clerical duties.

Education and Experience:

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent required

  • Graduate of an accredited therapy program

  • 1-2 years working as an OT Assistant or related experience

  • Current NJ COTA State License
