Position Overview

  • The Pharmacy Technician I – Ambulatory Retail supports daily pharmacy operations within a high‑volume outpatient pharmacy environment. This evening‑shift role is ideal for candidates who enjoy a structured schedule, patient interaction, and being part of a team that directly impacts patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, dispensing, and inventory management

  • Accurately process prescriptions and patient information using pharmacy systems

  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and clinical staff

  • Receive, unpack, and organize medication deliveries and supplies

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy work environment

  • Adhere to all Penn Medicine, state, and federal pharmacy regulations

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent ( Required )

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification - CPhT ( Required )

  • Registered Technician (PA State Board of Pharmacy) ( Required )

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a retail or ambulatory pharmacy setting

  • Experience working in a high‑volume pharmacy environment
