Full job description
The Patient Experience Representative is responsible for enhancing the experience in the inpatient setting of the hospital. This person will assist clinical caregivers with non-clinical tasks as well as monitor patients for non-clinical satisfaction and address concerns in real time.
Job Requirements
- Outgoing and comfortable interacting with diverse patients and personalities. • Culturally sensitive and respectful of differences in culture, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and abilities. • Understands and maintains appropriate patient and professional boundaries, including physical touch, spiritual conversations, prayer, and end-of-life situations. • Comfortable in a hospital environment and able to advocate for patient needs. • Strong problem-solving, creative-thinking, customer service, and communication skills. • Strong computer and technology skills. • Organized, detail-oriented, motivated, and able to multitask and prioritize. • Maintains strict confidentiality and works independently with minimal supervision. • Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules.
License/Certification
NA
Education and/or Experience
Associates degree or higher preferred. Two years of customer service experience in healthcare preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional lifting or carrying of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds), with periods of extended sitting or standing. Requires visual acuity, depth perception, and hand/finger dexterity and coordination to read words and numbers and operate computers and office equipment. May be exposed to infectious diseases and will be required to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
