INTL - Remote React Front End Engineer - LATAM

Job Description

This application is in the development stage currently. Global call centers use this application to open up guest profiles when they are booking a reservation. The application is connected from 20 back end applications, all feeding into this app. There are controller level components on the back end and the client logic will stay on the back end, but BE is owned by a different team so that this developer can 100% focus on the front end development. They need a strong React developer who understands how to speed up the application for maximum efficiency dealing with customer components. It is a must that this developer has developed an application from scratch for a customer/member profile.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience with React.js, Next.js, and modern front-end development Experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade web applications Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, integrations, and JSON-based data exchange Experience with API management and integration technologies such as Apigee, NGINX, or similar platforms Working knowledge of event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar messaging platforms Experience with caching technologies such as Redis or equivalent solutions Strong understanding of web application performance optimization, component lifecycle, rendering, and scalability best practices Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including data modeling and query development Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitLab Ability to translate Figma designs into reusable UI components Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive features and modules end-to-end Collaborative team player focused on seamless integration across applications Proactive approach to continuous improvement in application quality, performance, and user experience Proficient in using AI coding assistants within an established governance framework, ensuring generated code adheres to enterprise security, licensing, and architecture baselines (without relying on "vibe coding")

• Java experience so that they can understand what's going on the back end
• Accessibility (A11y) experience and familiarity with WCAG standards Experience using Storybook for component development and design systems
