SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST

Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the QUALITY CONTROL DIVISION, COMPLIANCE AND QUALITY DEPARTMENT of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Duties

• You will plan, organize, and direct the activities of assigned Industrial Quality Department Branch, ensuring that assigned branch complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
• You will develop goals and objectives that integrate into the organization and the Industrial Quality Department objectives.
• You will provide technical advice and assistance on all matters related to quality, including verification of materials, products, processes, documentation, etc.
• You will identify developmental and functional training requirements of subordinates and coordinate scheduling of training.
• You will schedule and review quality audits, ensuring proper documentation of deficiencies and corrective/preventive actions are accomplished to preclude recurrence.
• You will review directives and instructions for quality concerns.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Conducting quality audits and investigations, analyzing the results and developing recommendations for corrections and improvements; 2) Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical data associated with the production and manufacturing process; 3) Reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders, instructions, and technical manuals; 4) Utilizing data collection procedures and information gathering techniques; 5) Ensuring that verification of essential quality requirements is accomplished, deficiencies are properly documented, and corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence; 6) Providing assistance to resolve product and process quality issues, to implement process improvements, and to identify and resolve safety related issues and violations; and 7) Planning, organizing, and directing the activities of personnel, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and ensuring customer requirements are satisfied.
