Join us as a Supplier Quality Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in conducting supplier qualification and development. Imagine working daily with Generation Core Engine parts that meet high technical and quality standards. You will thrive in a multicultural environment, collaborating closely with various departments both locally and globally. By engaging with the global Supply Chain Management (SCM) process, you will utilize digitalization tools to enhance our operations. Your expertise will be crucial in addressing nonconformances through containment, root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing preventative and risk mitigation measures.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Supplier Qualification: You will implement and control the support of the cross-functional supplier selection team with essential quality data, conduct supplier audits, and assess supplier capability and risk.

  • Product and Process Qualification: Lead cross-functional teams to perform Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) in accordance with applicable process descriptions and standards, supporting supplier quality measures throughout the entire process chain.

  • Supplier Quality Management: Plan, implement, optimize, and control the efficiency of the defined Supplier Quality Management Process, ensuring the requested quality while coaching suppliers to adhere to Siemens Energy’s Quality Management Process and related tools.

  • Supplier Improvement: Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs, conduct quality root cause analysis, and execute appropriate risk mitigation measures at the supplier level, tracking the implementation and effectiveness of these measures.

  • Design Review and Improvement: Act as the main interface between Supplier Quality Management (SQM) and design engineers during design reviews, conducting reviews with suppliers for new designs and initiating early supplier involvement when necessary to support design to localization (DTL) and design to cost (DTC) efforts.

What You Bring

  • Fluency in English.

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a similar discipline is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical field and/or working in Supply Chain.

  • Experience in supplier qualification, product/process qualification, and technical supplier development to ensure a global, demand-covering, quality-assured, and cost-effective supply base.

  • Proven ability to lead projects and manage virtual cross-functional teams in an international setting. You are a self-starter with strong organizational, strategic, analytical thinking, leadership skills, and intercultural expertise.
