Full job description

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is currently hiring a Pharmacy Technician for Infusion Services in North Charleston, SC.

This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity with a Monday–Friday schedule. Pharmacy technicians with hospital or infusion experience are encouraged to apply.

Position Details

  • Location: North Charleston, SC 29204

  • Pay: $19 to $21/hr

  • Type: Contract-to-Hire

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday - 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Process and fulfill prescription orders in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policies.

  • Prepare, dispense, package, and ship pharmacy orders, including specialty medications, injectables, IV medications, and related supplies.

  • Assist with medication compounding in appropriate sterile or ventilated environments, as permitted.

  • Verify patient information and enter prescription orders into the pharmacy computer system.

  • Review prescriptions and confirm medication and insurance coverage information.

  • Contact patients to verify information, resolve rejected claims, and coordinate payment and delivery details.

  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and handle prescription documentation.

  • Assist with ordering, receiving, and maintaining medication and supply inventory.

  • Ensure medications and supplies are stored properly, including refrigerated products.

  • Monitor and maintain pharmacy equipment and dispensing systems.

  • Support daily pharmacy operations to ensure accurate and timely prescription fulfillment.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous pharmacy technician experience.

  • Knowledge of prescription processing and pharmacy operations.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to follow pharmacy procedures and applicable regulations.

  • Good communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active registration with the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.

  • Previous infusion pharmacy or hospital pharmacy experience .

  • Experience with sterile compounding, specialty medications, or injectable medications.

Pay Details: $19.00 to $21.00 per hour
