The Role:

As the 1st Shift CNC Specialist, you will join our Durex Industries and support...We are seeking an experienced CNC Okuma Specialist with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience programming, setting up, operating, and supporting Okuma CNC machine tools and OSP Controls. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical knowledge of multi-axis machining, including milling, turning, and mill-turn processes, and will play a key role in optimizing manufacturing operations, improving process efficiency, and supporting production teams.

This position requires a highly motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to develop standardized machining documentation while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, troubleshoot, and optimize Okuma CNC machine tools using OSP Controls.

  • Support production on Okuma MULTUS multitasking machines, MU Series 5-Axis machining centers, and Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs).

  • Develop and improve CNC machining processes for multi-axis milling, turning, and mill-turn applications.

Generate and maintain:

  • Setup documentation

  • Tooling lists

  • Work instructions

  • Standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Process documentation and machining standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Okuma CNC machine tools.

  • Extensive experience using Okuma OSP Controls.

  • Okuma MULTUS multitasking machines, Okuma MU Series 5-axis machining centers

  • Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs)

  • Ability to create setup sheets, tooling documentation, work instructions, and machining standards.

  • Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measuring equipment.

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.

  • Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and mentor production personnel.

Pay Range: $28 - $36
