BHMG Endocrinology

Job Summary:

The Clinical Nurse Educator provides individualized diabetes self-management education and training to individuals and groups according to the standards of practice for Diabetes Educators (AADE). Works closely with physicians in multiple BHMG offices as needed and demonstrates the ability to solve problems.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures/Certifications/Registrations Required:

Formal training which will be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited RN school of nursing, KY RN license; prefer previous supervisory experience in a health-care setting and/or experience in clinic-based nursing.

BCLS certification required.

CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator) required.

Certificate of completion for CPT (Certified Pump Trainer) strongly preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively; dedication to patient satisfaction; ability to work compatibly with physicians and other staff members; must be detail-oriented.

Good organizational and time management skills, good analytical problem solving skills, proactive attitude toward goals and objectives, ability to handle multiple projects, ability to handle stressful situations, ability to exercise judgment and discretions, proficiency with computer and windows software applications.
