Labcorp is seeking an AWS PostgreSQL Database Administrator Intern to join our Enterprise Infrastructure team located in Durham, NC with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule!
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40hrs per week
Job Responsibilities:

Assist in the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of AWS Aurora PostgreSQL and on-premises PostgreSQL databases.

Support database performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization activities.

Participate in database provisioning, backup, recovery, patching, and upgrade tasks.

Assist with troubleshooting database-related issues and resolving incidents under the guidance of senior DBAs.
-
Develop and maintain automation scripts for database administration and operational processes.
-
Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform.
-
Collaborate with DevOps teams to support deployment automation using UrbanCode Deploy (UCD).

Work with Bitbucket repositories for source code management, version control, and collaborative development.

Assist in implementing database monitoring, alerting, and operational best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Systems.

Internship Details:

Compensation: Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates

Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply
