Responsibilities

Ability to function in a demanding environment by navigating multiple projects simultaneously and effectively supporting a busy Medical Staff Office. Responsible for assigned Medical Staff Departments as assigned by Director/Manager. Facilitates all aspects of credentialing, including applications, reappointments, proctoring and competencies. Facilitates all aspects of payer/health plan provider enrollment, including timely and accurate processing of payer enrollment applications and submissions, provider roster maintenance, provider directory validation and annual/semi annual report submissions, and creating and maintaining CAQH practitioner profiles. Interfaces with physicians and medical group management staff in a positive and professional manner.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  • Associates degree preferred or equivalent education/experience.

  • Certified Provider Enrollment Specialist (CPES) and/or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years technical/administrative experience, Medical Staff Services Department, Credentialing/Contracting and/or acute care hospital experience preferred.

  • Must have strong computer, communication, and writing skills.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Must exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Knowledge of practitioner enrollment terminology and documents required for enrollment, medical terminology and medical staff services and/or acute care hospital experience, preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $23.00 to $28.25. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
