As the Specialist Manager, Business Development Representative within the Deloitte OpenAI Technology Practice, you will support our growing services practice . The Practice delivers focused Agentic Services with the client's chosen OpenAI technologies, bringing industry depth and technical rigor to every phase of their AI journey including ChatGPT Enterprise, domain-based customer models, agentic workflows and frontier platforms as well as change management and cybersecurity.
Business Development Representatives are members of a dynamic, co-evolving community of individuals working together with Deloitte's Sales and Growth Platform organizations to create and capture value and position Deloitte's capabilities and expertise in the market across various technology platforms.
This is a Deloitte business-development role focused on identifying and shaping opportunities for permissible Deloitte professional services. It is not an OpenAI product-sales, reseller, referral, channel, or joint-selling role. The role operates through Deloitte account and pursuit teams and is independent from the operations from OpenAI.
Deloitte can advise and implement OpenAI products and interact with OpenAI in a manner that adheres to the independence guardrails, consistent with the rules and policies of the Securities Exchange Commission.

Work you'll do
As a Specialist Manager, Business Development Representative for the Deloitte OpenAI Technology Practice team, you will be responsible for:

Identifying top-of-funnel opportunities: Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders across Deloitte account teams and the Practice. Participate in internal only account planning activities by identifying relevant opportunities while ensuring adherence with independence guidelines.

Building awareness of the practice: Creating market and internal awareness of the Practice to source new leads and opportunities. Additionally, generate awareness and educate Deloitte practitioners on Deloitte's services capabilities while ensuring we are adhering to Independence Guidelines.

Support client relevant deliverables: Assist Deloitte's go-to-market team in creating new industry or domain specific, success stories, quals and proposal submissions, focusing on Deloitte professional services. Initiate the development and execution of lead generation field events, collateral, case studies, videos, or white papers. Coordinate with account teams for follow-ups and drive deal progression.

Partner across sales teams: Engage with Deloitte internal sales teams to explore opportunities for cross-sell/upsell across technologies, platforms, offerings (e.g. AI&E, Human Capital, Customer etc.) and domains (Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, HR etc.). Demonstrate comprehensive Industry sales coverage by generating new leads for sales executives.

The Team
This role sits within the Deloitte OpenAI Technology Practice, under the Technology Relationships segment of Deloitte's Growth Platforms organization.
Deloitte OpenAI Technology Practice is geared around advising, implementing, and operating solutions for our clients who have selected OpenAI's GenAI models (e.g. Enterprise, Codex, etc.). The practice offers solution engineering, technical enablement, and domain expertise to help organizations and Deloitte practitioners achieve their goals with artificial intelligence. We deliver hands-on technical training, custom AI solutions, reusable tools, accelerators, and industry-focused knowledge to address real-world challenges, equipping both clients and Deloitte professionals with best practices, practical guidance, and collaborative networks to identify valuable AI opportunities and drive measurable outcomes.
Qualifications
Required:
-
5+ years' experience in Technology or relevant Industry markets with an emphasis on significant business development and client relationship experience.

Fluency in Cloud Analytics/Data Platforms and Agentic/AI technologies.
-
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
-
Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Preferred:
-
Bachelor's degree from an accredited school or university.
-
Expert level understanding of Cloud marketplace and strong command on market messaging and presence for Cloud-oriented professional services firms.
-
Experience executing sales and capturing strategies and initiatives to transition underperforming IT organizations and programs to become customer-centric and operate a service delivery model.

Deep technical understanding of Cloud technologies e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI and other Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) as well as a demonstrated understanding of modern approaches to Cloud infrastructure, software development, and legacy systems modernization.

Work with account and pursuit teams to architect large, complex capture efforts with teaming partners, staff, and practice leadership at all stages of the capture lifecycle.

Prior experience working with major industries/vertical markets and experience with OpenAI technologies or comparable GenAI platforms is a plus.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $122,000.00 to $240,500.00.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
