About the Position: This position is located within the Department of Pharmacy at Ireland Army Health Clinic, in Fort Knox, KY. This position is to provide comprehensive clinical and distributive pharmacy services to outpatient settings. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 0800-1630. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

• Evaluate medication orders for accuracy, indication, dosing range, and potential interactions to ensure patient safety.
• Prepare sterile and non-sterile pharmaceutical preparations, including complex compounds, in accordance with professional and safety standards.
• Monitor patient drug therapy by reviewing medical records, laboratory data, and medication profiles to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Manage quality improvement projects by initiating, executing, and completing initiatives to enhance pharmacy services and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide drug information and education to healthcare professionals, patients, and staff to promote the safe and effective use of medications.

Qualifications

Education: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Qualification: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree, Ph.D., Pharm.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Exemption: You are exempt from the requirements above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0660 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before. Note: You will be required to provide appropriate documentation to the respective Human Resources Office to validate your status. Licensure: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, a territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
