Your role and responsibilities

As a Warehouse Management, Fulfillment & Logistics Executive Solution Strategist & Operations Advisor within IBM Consulting’s Supply Chain Transformation practice, you will help lead the growth, sales, and delivery of complex Manhattan Active transformation programs across warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, and logistics operations.

You will partner with CSCOs, COOs, CIOs, and supply chain to modernize fulfillment networks, improve operational performance, and enable future-ready supply chain capabilities. Working across business and technology teams, you will advise clients on operating model transformation, solution architecture, roadmaps, and implementation strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes across Retail, Consumer Products, Distribution, Manufacturing, and Transportation industries.

This role combines deep warehouse and logistics expertise with Manhattan Active solution strategy, executive advisory, transformation delivery, and business development leadership. Success requires the ability to operate seamlessly across executive strategy discussions, warehouse operations, pursuit leadership, solution architecture, and program execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives on warehouse, fulfillment, logistics, and supply chain transformation initiatives.

  • Lead strategic engagements focused on operating model modernization, Manhattan Active solution strategy focused on operating model modernization, Manhattan Active solution strategy, and end-to-end transformation delivery.

  • Assess warehouse and logistics operations to identify opportunities across cost, service, inventory, labor, automation, productivity, and scalability.

  • Define future-state operating models, business cases, transformation roadmaps, and implementation strategies aligned to measurable business outcomes.

  • Lead executive workshops, solution design sessions, and strategic discussions with business and technology stakeholders.

  • Provide leadership across Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM), Transportation Management (MATM), and broader supply chain architectures, including ERP, WMS, TMS, TMS, automation, robotics, WCS/WES, and MHE integrations.

  • Partner with account teams and industry leaders to shape pursuits, proposals, executive presentations, and growth strategies that expand IBM’s warehouse and logistics consulting footprint.

  • Contribute thought leadership, methodologies, frameworks, and mentoring across the Supply Chain Transformation practice.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • 15+ years of experience in supply chain consulting, warehouse management, warehouse management, logistics, fulfillment, or large-scale supply chain transformation programs.

  • Deep expertise in warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, and transportation operations, including operating models, labor optimization, inventory management, omnichannel fulfillment, automation, and last-mile logistics.

  • Experience leading end-to-end Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM) transformations, with strong knowledge of Manhattan Active Transportation Management (MATM) and broader Manhattan Active Supply Chain capabilities.

  • Proven ability to lead complex transformation programs spanning business strategy, operating model design, solution architecture, implementation, and organizational change.

  • Strong understanding of functional, integration, and technical architecture across WMS, TMS, ERP, automation across WMS, TMS, ERP, automation, robotics, WCS/WES, and MHE ecosystems.

  • Demonstrated experience translating operational and business requirements into scalable, technology-enabled transformation strategies and measurable business outcomes.

  • Experience supporting executive pursuits, solutioning, proposal development, and business growth initiatives within consulting or professional services environments.

  • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience advising C-suite and senior management skills, with experience advising C-suite and senior supply chain leaders.

  • Knowledge of AI, advanced analytics, automation, and emerging technologies supporting warehouse and logistics transformation.

Preferred technical and professional experience

  • Experience leading warehouse, fulfillment, and logistics transformations across industries such as Retail, Consumer Products, CPG, Distribution, Travel, or Transportation.

  • Expertise with additional Manhattan Active capabilities including Labor Management, Yard Management, Slotting, and Warehouse Optimization solutions.

  • Experience integrating warehouse automation, robotics, WCS, MHE, IoT, and smart technologies within complex distribution and fulfillment environments.

  • Knowledge of transportation management, last-mile logistics, warehouse network strategy, cost-to-serve optimization, and inventory optimization, and inventory optimization initiatives.

  • Experience supporting omnichannel fulfillment and highly automated distribution operations at scale.

  • Understanding of sustainability, ESG, and operational efficiency initiatives within supply chain and logistics environments.

  • Demonstrated thought leadership through industry publications, speaking engagements, client advisory work, or participation in supply chain forums and industry events.
