Job Description

We're seeking a Principal Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the delivery of complex business solutions built on Palantir Foundry and AIP. This role combines software engineering, data engineering, architecture, and business consulting, requiring someone who can work directly with operational stakeholders, understand complex workflows, and translate them into scalable technical solutions. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Foundry Ontology, Workshop, Code Repositories, pipelines, Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark, and production AIP implementations. This person will own technical delivery, guide architectural decisions, and ensure solutions are production-ready, maintainable, and portable. We need a strong engineer who still codes daily, can influence without authority, and is comfortable leading discussions with both executives and technical teams. Prior experience delivering customer-facing or embedded engineering engagements in highly regulated environments is a strong plus.

Skills and Requirements

-Ten (10) or more years of software engineering experience, including at least four (4) years in a forward-deployed, embedded, or customer-facing engineering role delivering production systems with the business rather than from a backlog handed over the wall, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. -Hands-on production experience with Palantir Foundry (ontology, pipelines / transforms, Workshop, Code Repositories) required, or demonstrably equivalent experience owning a comparable operational ontology and application platform in a large enterprise. -Experience leading technical delivery in a multi-party environment (vendor FDEs, internal engineering, business operations) without people-management authority. -Experience in insurance, claims, healthcare, or another heavily regulated operational domain preferred.
