Cloud Distribution Engineer (DevOps / SRE)

Job Description

We are seeking a Cloud Distribution Engineer with a strong background in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), cloud networking, and broadcast/media distribution technologies. This individual will play a key role in supporting the ongoing transformation of traditional broadcasting workflows into modern cloud-based and IP-based distribution platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and support cloud-based content distribution and broadcast delivery solutions. Partner closely with Broadcast Operations teams to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve distribution and transmission issues. Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, networking, and media delivery workflows within AWS environments. Support IP-based content transport and distribution systems as the industry transitions from traditional RF and satellite broadcasting technologies. Monitor system performance, reliability, and uptime using SRE and operational best practices. Work with orchestration and media workflow platforms such as DataMiner and other broadcast management tools. Support integrations and operational workflows involving broadcast technology platforms such as TAG Video Systems, Amagi, and Nevion. Analyze distribution paths, signal quality, and operational incidents to ensure seamless content delivery. Collaborate across engineering, network, and broadcast teams to implement platform improvements and automation initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

Strong experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles. Hands-on AWS infrastructure and networking experience. Understanding of IP networking fundamentals, media transport, and content distribution architectures. Experience supporting highly available, mission-critical production environments. Familiarity with monitoring, observability, automation, and incident management practices. Experience working with broadcast, media, video streaming, or content distribution technologies. Background in Broadcast Engineering, Media Operations, or Video Distribution. Experience with DataMiner, TAG Video Systems, Amagi, Nevion, or similar media orchestration and monitoring tools. Knowledge of broadcast evolution from traditional RF/satellite distribution to cloud-native and IP-based delivery architectures. Understanding of live broadcast workflows, signal transport, encoding, contribution, and distribution ecosystems.
