In return, we’ll give you the trust to take risks, the tools to grow, the skills to develop and the support of a company invested in you for the long haul. So, if you want to inspire a brighter work day for everyone, including yourself, you’ve found a match in Workday, and we hope to be a match for you too.

About the Team Our Global Mobility team makes it possible for talented people to work wherever Workday needs them — handling the immigration and relocation of both internal employees and external hires. No two days look the same. You'll be problem-solving in real time, adapting quickly, and helping the business get people where they need to be, all while staying compliant with ever-changing regulations. If you love variety and want your work to have a direct, visible impact on people's careers, this is the team for you. About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Program Leadership & Strategy: Oversee end-to-end Americas immigration sponsorship, serving as the primary point of contact for complex case management, escalations, and vendor relationships while partnering with Talent Acquisition, HR, and Legal to align strategy with business goals.

  • Technical Compliance & Execution: Manage high-volume, complex immigration programs—including Remote Work, H-1B, PERM, and Prevailing Wage determinations—ensuring full compliance with government regulations while managing immigration vendor relationships, including SLAs, performance, and issue resolution.

  • AI & Process Optimization: Leverage AI tools to automate cyclical processes, drive operational efficiency, and continuously improve program delivery and policy execution.

  • Risk, Governance & Strategic Initiatives: Monitor regulatory risks, share data-driven insights with leadership, and maintain policy documentation and training. Support initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, organizational restructuring, and rotational programs. Provide coverage support for Immigration team in other regions as needed.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of U.S. immigration experience, including hands-on management of H-1B sponsorship, PERM applications, and Prevailing Wage determinations, and driving associated case or programmatic issues to resolution

  • Experience managing Canadian immigration programs, including C-20 work permits, the Global Talent Stream (GTS) LMIA, and the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP)

  • Experience partnering with HR, Legal, and Talent Acquisition to align immigration strategy with business objectives, leveraging data analytics to track program health, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Other Qualifications

  • Experience managing external immigration counsel and vendors, including service agreements, performance metrics, and budget and invoice management

  • Experience using AI tools to improve day-to-day work, including automating repetitive processes

  • Experience supporting immigration-related M&A activity

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing government regulations and clearly communicate updates to senior leaders and affected employees

  • Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Skilled at building relationships across teams — including business leaders, HR, Legal, and Recruiting — establishing trust and keeping immigration programs aligned with business needs

  • Clear communicator, both verbal and written, able to explain complex concepts to a range of audiences
