Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time school-based opportunity in Newark, CA for the upcoming school year.
Join a supportive and close-knit Occupational Therapy team serving students across multiple district locations. This is an excellent opportunity for an OT looking to make a meaningful impact while becoming part of a collaborative school community.
Position Highlights
? Earn up to $70/hour for local candidates
? Travel packages available up to $3,059/week for qualified travelers
? Full-time school-year assignment (40 hours/week)
? District-wide OT position supporting multiple campuses
? Provide services across Preschool, Schilling, BGP, and NMHS sites
? Work with a small, highly supportive OT team
? Virtual client interview via Microsoft Teams
? Great opportunity for therapists seeking a strong sense of community and collaboration
Responsibilities

Perform student evaluations and assessments

Develop individualized therapy plans and goals

Provide direct occupational therapy services to students

Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and professional standards

Collaborate with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
Minimum Requirements
-
Current Occupational Therapist license in the State of California
-
One (1) year of Occupational Therapy experience preferred
-
Knowledge of and compliance with professional standards of practice
-
Current CPR certification (if applicable)
-
TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable)
-
Current health certificate (per state regulations or contract requirements)

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age

Minimum Requirements:

Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of practice

One (1) year of prior professional Occupational Therapy experience preferred

Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

Current CPR if applicable

Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
