Job Summary

We are currently seeking a GCSS-MC Clerk . This position is a full-time opportunity located in Albany, Georgia.

The selected candidate will support the inventory accountability of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear defense (CBRND) equipment and supplies in support of Marine Corps Systems Command and Logistics Command, providing sustainment to the Fleet Marine Force.

The successful candidate will support a government and contractor team, performing tasks that include accountability, asset identification, warehousing, and transacting in the Global Combat Support System – Marine Corps (GCSS-MC) and Enterprise Management System (EMS) to ensure 100% accountability of CBRND items in compliance with Department of Defense and Marine Corps materiel management policy. A military background is beneficial, and candidates must be self-starters.

Responsibilities

As a GCSS-MC Clerk, the selected individual will maintain accountability and inventory accuracy of critical CBRND assets in support of Marine Corps operations. Responsibilities may include:

  • Conduct transactions in GCSS-MC (e.g., sub-inventory transfers, gain/loss adjustment packages, receipts, and issues) and manage inventory levels to ensure 100% accountability of CBRND items

  • Conduct spot, cyclic, and annual inventories of CBRND items, reconciling discrepancies between official accounting records and physical inventories

  • Identify potential areas of process improvement and coordinate efforts to implement solutions

  • Perform technical research to identify items using tools such as FEDLOG, WebFLIS, and LDART, and obtain information for routine and moderately complex reports

  • Conduct causative research on supply discrepancies

  • Receive, store, and issue inventory items in general storage and warehousing operations

  • Provide accountability, inventory, and supply reports as required

  • Perform a variety of coordinating duties in support of specialized department goals

  • Handle work of a critical or confidential nature, requiring broad knowledge of Department of Defense policies and Marine Corps processes

Key Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required

  • 5–7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management

  • Significant experience transacting in Global Combat Support System – Marine Corps (GCSS-MC)

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs in general storage and warehousing tasks

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on-site at a government client location

  • Knowledge of and experience with Marine Corps supply processes and procedures

Compensation Data

Battelle is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $40,000 – $50,000 per year, in addition to our comprehensive benefits package. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. Salary ranges may vary based on geographic location and market conditions.
