Job Description
A statewide, public, academic health system in Memphis, TN is looking for a Dental Claims Coordinator. The Dental Claims Coordinator will oversee dental insurance billing, claims processing, pre-authorizations, and provider credentialing. This individual will help ensure that claims are submitted accurately and on time while supporting services associated with special needs dentistry, including hospital-based procedures, sedation, and multidisciplinary treatment.
As a newly established position, the Dental Claims Coordinator will also help create and implement efficient claims, authorization, and insurance coordination processes. The coordinator will serve as a subject matter expert for CDT coding, payer requirements, and insurance documentation standards.
Skills and Requirements
Associate degree Two years of experience processing public and private dental insurance claims Experience supporting special needs patients or processing claims across multiple clinics Knowledge of public and private dental insurance billing policies Knowledge of dental terminology, treatment planning, and CDT coding Knowledge of accounts receivable and collections processes Knowledge of guidelines, policies, regulations, and procedures related to special needs patient populations Bachelor’s degree
