Full job description

About This Role

There is an enormous gap between the technology built in Silicon Valley and what the average small business owner in America can actually get their hands on. The pharmacist in rural Louisiana. The auto dealer in the Midwest. The vet clinic owner who has done their books the same way for twenty years. They run the businesses that hold American communities together, and the software serving them has never reflected how much they matter.

Affiniti is closing that gap, and at this stage, the biggest constraint isn't ambition, it's bandwidth. Every week the founders don't spend on the highest-leverage problem is a week the gap gets wider instead of narrower.

That's where you come in. You sit next to the founders, see the whole business at once, and make sure nothing that matters falls through the cracks between fundraising, hiring, product, and go-to-market. You are the person who turns "someone should figure this out" into "it's done."

If you want influence over a company at the exact moment its shape is still being decided, this is that opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Run point on the founders' highest-leverage priorities. Know what matters most this week, this month, this quarter, and make sure it actually happens

Own the operating rhythm of the company. Board prep, investor updates, all-hands, and the cadences that keep a fast-moving team aligned instead of scattered

Drop into any function when it counts. Finance, hiring, ops, GTM. You go wherever the fire or the opportunity is, without waiting to be asked twice

Turn ambiguous, half-formed problems into structured plans with clear owners and deadlines. The kind of clarity that lets a small team move like a much bigger one

Partner directly with the founders on fundraising. Data rooms, investor materials, diligence requests, and the details that make Affiniti look as sharp on paper as it is in practice

Build the systems, processes, and hires that let the company scale without losing the speed that got it here

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in a high-intensity, high-ownership environment. Startup, investment banking, consulting, or founder experience strongly preferred

End-to-end ownership. You can take a vague mandate from a founder and come back with a finished outcome, not a list of questions

Sharp written and verbal communication. You can write a board update or an investor email that sounds like it came from the founders themselves

Genuine financial and operational fluency. You can read a cap table, a cash flow statement, and a pipeline report and know what each one is actually telling you

A bias toward speed without sacrificing judgment. You move fast, but you know which decisions deserve a second look

High ownership. If you take problems as your own and see them through desired, outcome, you’ll fit right in with the people who thrive here
