As a Process Safety & Risk-Based Design Leader, you'll help shape how safety and risk management are integrated into complex projects, enabling teams to develop resilient, high-performing solutions for our clients.
Working across multidisciplinary project teams, you'll promote the application of process safety principles, risk-informed decision making, and industry best practices throughout the project lifecycle. From advanced manufacturing facilities to first-of-kind installations, you'll have the opportunity to influence challenging projects while helping strengthen technical excellence across our global Electronics business.

Here's What You'll Be Doing

Promote awareness and understanding of process safety fundamentals and risk-based design principles across multidisciplinary project teams.

Develop and share guidance, tools, best practices, and lessons learned to support consistent application of process safety concepts across projects.

Advance technical knowledge in areas including process safety, industrial hygiene, hazardous materials management, and semiconductor facility safety.

Help project teams incorporate risk identification, risk evaluation, and risk mitigation considerations into project planning and design.

Provide process safety leadership during design reviews, project reviews, and other technical assessments.

Foster effective application of HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, and other risk assessment methodologies as part of project delivery.

Evaluate risk mitigation strategies, layers of protection, and inherently safer design concepts for complex facility projects.

Support technically challenging and first-of-kind projects requiring specialized process safety considerations.

Promote awareness of applicable codes, standards, regulations, and industry practices related to process safety and hazardous materials.

Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of technical standards, design practices, and process safety guidance.

Engage with industry organizations, technical forums, and code-development activities to maintain awareness of emerging trends and evolving requirements.

Facilitate knowledge sharing and promote consistency of process safety practices across global project teams.
Here's What You'll Need
-
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health Science, or a related technical discipline.

2+ years of relevant experience in process safety, chemical/process engineering, industrial risk management, or related fields.

Demonstrated experience in process safety, industrial risk management, hazardous materials management, or related fields.

Working knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, including HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, or similar approaches.

Familiarity with process safety principles, risk-based design practices, and industry codes and standards.

Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence multidisciplinary teams.

Ability to translate complex technical risks into practical and actionable design considerations.

Experience supporting projects within advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, life sciences, chemical, or related industrial environments.
Ideally, You'll Also Have
-
Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar professional certification.

Experience facilitating or participating in formal process hazard analyses and risk assessments.

7+years of experience applying process safety, industrial risk management, or risk-informed design priniciples within semiconductor or advanced technology manufacturing environments.

Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and associated safety requirements.

Experience contributing to industry organizations, standards committees, or technical working groups.

Experience developing technical guidance, training materials, or process safety programs.
