The Financial Reporting & Analysis Manager is responsible for leading key financial reporting, accounting, and controllership activities supporting Aetna's Medicare Supplement business. This position partners closely with Finance, Actuarial, Operations, and Business leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain a strong control environment, and drive operational excellence through process improvement and automation. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of accounting expertise, analytical skills, business partnership, and leadership capabilities, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
In this role, you can expect:
- Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for the Medicare Supplement business.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial reporting processes, controls, and documentation.
- Assist with special projects related to system implementations, reporting enhancements, and process redesign.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes through automation, data analytics, and technology solutions.
- Mentor and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, controllership, financial reporting, or financial analysis.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial close processes.
- Experience managing complex accounting and reporting activities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships and effectively partner across Finance, Actuarial, Operations, and business organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medicare, Medicare Supplement, healthcare, or insurance industry experience.
- Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion, SmartView, SAP, or other enterprise financial systems.
- Experience with data analytics and automation tools such as SQL, Dataiku, Power BI, or similar technologies.
- Experience supporting finance transformation initiatives and process modernization efforts.
- Master’s degree, CPA license.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred for equal years of working experience may be considered.

Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is:
$54,300.00 - $159,120.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
