Job Description

Provide administrative and research support to the Licensing team to maintain operational licenses and permits across the company’s multi‑state footprint.

  • Support timely renewals, payments, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure accurate records in company’s licensing database system, Avalara License Management (ALM)
  • Research, monitor, and update state/local licensing requirements impacting store operations and other business activities.
  • Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
  • Support Licensing Specialists on daily licensing tasks and special projects, as instructed.
  • Perform other tasks, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or a minimum of 2 years related experience.
  • Related experience in accounting, tax, real estate, compliance, legal support/paralegal, or title/mortgage operations preferred.
  • Highly organized; strong attention to detail and time management
  • Clear verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively; exercise sound judgment and escalate as needed
  • Prioritize and adapt to changing demands; manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain urgency
