Full job description

Five Rivers Analytics (FRA), an Akima company, is looking for a Training Developer III to work in Colorado Springs, CO. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!

The Training Developer III will design, develop, and maintain courseware for ISD, INTEL/Mission Delta 31 (MD 31), producing lesson plans, tests, and performance-based training scenarios that meet Instructional Systems Development (ISD) standards and Ready Spacecrew Program (RSP) requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews, revises, and creates courseware, lesson plans, tests, and performance-based scenarios IAW MTL/RTM/APOI and DAFMAN 36-2675 ISD model.

  • Produces/maintains Intel MTL, RTM, and APOI training products (lesson-plan-level QT/RT/DT curriculum excluded per PWS note).

  • Schedules and deconflicts NSSI/supplemental courses (SWIFT, Space 100, IS2CD, etc.) IAW the MD31/S2 Master Training Plan.

  • Administers/schedules the Instructor Certification Course (ICC) and Evaluator Certification Course (ECC) (~11 iterations/yr).

  • Maintains ICC/ECC courseware; generates monthly/quarterly/annual PEX staff training and evaluation reports for HQ leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related discipline.

  • 5-7 years of courseware development, instructional design, or curriculum development experience.

  • Working knowledge of Instructional Systems Development (ISD) methodology.

  • Strong technical writing and content development skills.

  • Active SECRET security clearance required.

  • Any clearance requirements for this position are established by the government contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing training materials for satellite control, space operations, or military technical systems.

  • Familiarity with DAFMAN 36-2675 or equivalent ISD standards.

  • Experience developing simulator-based or performance-based evaluation scenarios.
