Full job description
Founding Sales About Dataleap We raised $3M from YC and angels like Aravind (CEO Perplexity) and Rahul Vohra (Superhuman) to build the agentic operating system for the enterprise. We have thousands of agents deployed across scale-up startups and Fortune 500 companies. We have PMF and are doubling revenue every month. And we have far more enterprise inbound than we can handle. About the role Until now, I've closed every deal at Dataleap myself. I need someone to do it better than I do. You'll work directly with me, the CEO and founder, across the full sales lifecycle, from the first cold email to the signed contract. You'll also take over a large and growing pile of inbound leads and demo requests that we can't keep up with today. As our founding sales hire, you won't be handed a playbook. You'll write it. Every pitch, objection and closed deal shapes how Dataleap sells for years. As we scale, you'll help hire and build the sales team underneath you. You'll also have a front-row seat to AI. You'll sell the product that is changing how enterprises operate, and you'll use it to change how sales works. What you'll do
- Outbound: Find our ideal customers and get them on the phone. Grow our outbound motion from zero into a repeatable engine.
- Inbound: Demo and close the warm prospects who come through our front door. Turn interest into signed contracts, fast.
- Events: Host events for prospects and customers, from intimate executive dinners to agent hackathons, so people walk away wanting to work with us.
- Systems: Own the source of truth for our sales data. Build the pipeline, processes and reporting we'll need to grow this team 10x.
- Agents: Build your own set of Dataleap agents to scale yourself. We expect you to cut manual work out of your job systematically, not to use AI as a productivity boost.
- Be the voice of the market: Bring what you hear from buyers back to product and engineering. Push for what customers need, and push back when they're wrong.
- Find the thousand things I haven't listed here, and just do them.
You're a fit if
- You're a closer. You've carried a number and hit it, ideally selling complex software to enterprise or fast-growing companies. You know how to run a multi-stakeholder deal from champion to procurement.
- You're a hunter. You don't wait for leads. You enjoy outbound, find creative ways into accounts, and can't stand a quiet pipeline.
- You're an AI power user. You don't just "explore AI", you live in it. You can demo agents credibly because you build them yourself, and you can hold your own with a CTO.
- You're high agency and fast. You set the agenda, prioritize ruthlessly, and communicate clearly and to the point.
- You're low ego and high ownership. Some of the work isn't glamorous, like cleaning the CRM or chasing a signature at 11pm, and you do it anyway. You want to work hard and be obsessed with what you do.
- You build systems. You can't help turning chaos into process, and you think about how the next ten reps will sell, not just how you will.
- You speak German at a native level and are based in Munich (or ready to move here).
What you get
- A first-hand view of how a YC company goes from founder-led sales to a scaled revenue engine, with you building it.
- Direct exposure to the best people at YC, Founders Inc and CDTM.
- Frequent trips to San Francisco to keep you at the frontier of agentic AI.
- The best mentors and coaches for whatever problem you're working on.
- An unlimited AI budget to automate your own work.
- Generous equity and a compensation package (base plus uncapped commission) that reflects the impact I expect this role to have.
- The path to build and lead the sales team as we scale.
- I will personally make sure this is the fastest growth opportunity of your career.
- If you ever want to start your own company, I'll back you.
