Description

Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have several labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this Dental Lab Technician (Denture Model) opportunity at NDX Heumann Dental Laboratory in Topeka, KS. This is a trainee position that requires no experience. Hands-on, paid training is provided.

The regular hours for this position are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

This is a full-time position featuring employee benefits including: health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; paid holiday, vacation, and sick time; 401K with company contribution; and tuition reimbursement!

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

  • Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist

  • Place completed computer work cards on proper case pans, reviewing doctor, product and finish date information for correctness

  • Disinfect all case components using the appropriate disinfection procedure

  • Pour models from impressions received from doctors in the proper material

  • Number all models and impressions with case number

  • Place models on appropriate type of articulator using correct technique

  • Articulate models by using bites sent by doctor or hand articulating to correct bite relationship

  • Check case for correct doctor information, finish date, product, metal type, and fabrication questions that need to be called on the next day

  • Clean work area daily

  • All other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

  • Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity

  • Detail oriented

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

  • Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent

  • No experience required

  • Wet grinders

  • Hand-pieces

  • Coping Saws

  • Bard Parker Knives

  • Steamers

  • Acetone

  • Die-Separator

  • Accelerator

  • Glue

  • Die-Hardener

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
