Job Description
The ADAS Validation Engineer is responsible for validating and verifying Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving (AD) features throughout the product development lifecycle. This role supports test planning, test execution, data analysis, issue investigation, and requirements traceability across vehicle, subsystem, and component-level testing environments. The engineer will work closely with systems, software, controls, perception, integration, and quality teams to ensure ADAS functionality meets performance, safety, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute validation test plans and test cases for ADAS features.
- Perform testing in vehicle, bench, SIL, and HIL environments.
- Analyze logs and test data to identify defects and verify system performance.
- Support root cause analysis and defect resolution with cross-functional teams.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and validation results.
- Contribute to test automation, validation infrastructure, and release readiness activities.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience with system validation, testing, or embedded software/hardware integration.
- Understanding of ADAS, vehicle systems, and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Experience working with test requirements, test execution, and defect tracking.
- Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, or Vehicle Spy.
- Python, MATLAB, CAPL, or C++ scripting/programming experience.
- Familiarity with Jira, Jama, Polarion, or DOORS.
- Exposure to ISO 26262, ASPICE, HIL/SIL testing, or automotive cybersecurity.
