Our client seeks a Lead Senior Collaboration Platform Designer to lead modernization and operational initiatives across Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. The role requires hands-on experience designing, deploying, automating, migrating, and supporting enterprise collaboration platforms, as well as leading an operations team and driving governance, reliability, and SLA adherence.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, the applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Public Trust clearance. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $85.00 to $95.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support Google Workspace, Sites, and Drive, and Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.

  • Manage configurations, permissions, and sharing using least privilege principles.

  • Configure and maintain governance for external sharing, retention, sensitivity labels, and lifecycle policies.

  • Monitor platform and service health, usage, and reporting using Google and Microsoft admin centers.

  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve problems to SLA.

  • Support development, test, and production tenants.

  • Design, build, and maintain solutions using Looker Studio, Power Apps, Dataverse, and SharePoint lists.

  • Automate processes with Google platform tools and Power Automate cloud and desktop flows.

  • Build dashboards and reports for operations and SLA reporting.

  • Standardize and automate to reduce manual effort.

  • Plan and execute migrations including Microsoft on-prem to cloud, Microsoft 365 migrations, cutovers, validation, and stabilization.

  • Analyze content, sites, and dependencies for migration readiness.

  • Integrate collaboration services with identity platforms, line-of-business apps, third-party tools, and APIs.

  • Define and manage collaboration governance, naming, and lifecycle standards.

  • Manage solutions for end users across Google and Microsoft collaboration tools, including provisioning, releases, performance, and adoption.

  • Review solution designs for scalability, security, compliance, and supportability.

  • Support reporting and analytics with Google Looker and Power BI, usage and adoption reporting, and KPI/SLA dashboards.

Experience Requirements:

  • 8-10+ years of hands-on experience designing and supporting collaboration platforms in production.

  • Team leadership experience managing 10–15 personnel in operations, incidents, problem management, QA, and SLA adherence.

  • Expertise with Google Workspace tools and Microsoft 365 including SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Groups.

  • Governance, permissions, and lifecycle management experience.

  • Experience with Google Gemini, AppSheet, Workspace Studio, Looker, and Sheets.

  • Power Platform experience including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.

  • Migrations experience including on-prem SharePoint to SharePoint Online and tenant-to-tenant.

  • Automation experience using Google Cloud CLI and PowerShell.

  • Incident and problem management, quality assurance, and SLA analysis.

  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication abilities, collaborating across teams.

  • Preferred: Experience at enterprise scale with Google Workspace and Power Platform, model-driven apps, Dataverse, ALM, Microsoft Graph, Azure, custom app integrations, and identity integrations with Entra ID/Azure AD and SSO.

  • Preferred: Familiarity with security, compliance, and information-governance best practices.

  • Preferred: Google or Microsoft certifications are optional.

Education Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related experience.
