Important Immigration Information:

In addition, on January 27, 2026, Texas Governor Abbot issued a moratorium on the filing of any new H-1B unless approved by the Texas Workforce Commission. The Certification Testing Coordinator for the Educator Certification and Academic Services office in the College of Education verifies students' eligibility to take TExES and process registrations. This position tracks students through testing sequence, maintains accountability records and prepares state and federal reports.
This is a full-time, in-person position located on Tarleton's main campus in Stephenville, Texas. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, or as work requirements indicate. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Responsibilities

40% Tracks students through the certification testing sequence and maintains records for testing and accountability reporting.

25% Prepares related accountability state and federal reports.

15% Processes approvals for the certification testing exams.

10% Provides instruction to candidates concerning test/retest procedures.

10% Performs other duties related to certification testing and reporting and for operations of the ECAS office.
Minimum Requirements
Required Education and Experience
-
Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Three years of experience in an education related field with prior experience in teacher certification preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-
Proficient in office technology and administrative systems.

Advanced knowledge of and ability to manage data in Microsoft 365 including Access.

Effective communication skills.
-
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Salary Range:
The target base annual salary range is $44,000 up to $55,550.50 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
