The Behavior Specialist reports directly to a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and provides clinical support to the group homes located in Ocean and Monmouth county.

Salary: $55,000 - $61,000

What we look for in YOU:

  • Assist BCBA with the assessment and treatment of challenging behaviors.

  • Consultation on ISP Plan Goals/Objectives, as well as environmental supports.

  • Training, oversight, and monitoring of direct support professionals with respect to behavioral support and therapeutic interactions.

  • Data collection and inputting data into excel database.

  • Input notes regarding behavioral services.

  • Provide specific number of hours of services per consumer in required settings per week.

  • Conduct observations and integrity assessments of BCBA's current BSP per Individual.

Qualifications

You'd make a great Behavior Specialist if you have:

  • Master's in behavior analysis, psychology, or a related fieldand Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification

  • At least 2 years providing behavior support to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Intellectually /Developmentally Disabled clients

  • Be 18 years of age or older (required).

  • Be able to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.

  • Have a valid non-provisional driver's license.

  • Solid interpersonal skills required to work as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team

  • Demonstrated experience and skills in presentations

  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication experience
