Senior Infrastructure Solutions Architect

Onsite | Buda, TX | Contract

Robert Half is partnering with an organization in Buda, TX undergoing a significant business and technology transformation. This contract opportunity is ideal for a hands-on Infrastructure Architect who enjoys untangling complex environments, documenting existing-state architecture, and leading integration and modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and document infrastructure, applications, networks, and system dependencies.

• Design and lead integration strategies across cloud, server, networking, and end-user environments.

• Support M& A activities including environment consolidation, migration planning, and technology rationalization.

• Develop architecture diagrams, dependency maps, and technical documentation.

• Translate business requirements into scalable, supportable technical solutions.

• Partner with stakeholders to identify risks, improve operational efficiency, and drive transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience within Infrastructure Architecture, Solutions Architecture, or Senior Systems Engineering.

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure.

• Experience administrating Microsoft Exchange and Google Workspace.

• Experience designing, implementing, or administrating backup and continuity solutions for server, storage, and application infrastructure.

• Scripting/automation experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

• Familiarity with typical project management methods (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).

• Experience translating business requirements into technical configurations.

• Familiarity with DAS, SAN, and NAS.

• Familiarity with load balancers, VPN appliances.

• Familiarity with Unix variants and macOS.

• Familiarity with enterprise-class vendors and product lines strongly preferred (e.g. Cisco, Cisco Meraki, HPE/Aruba, Juniper).

• Familiarity with hypervisor platforms (e.g. VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV).

• Understanding of contemporary network storage protocols and interconnect methods (e.g. iSCSI, CIFS, FibreChannel, NFS)
