Full job description

Electrical Technician

Location: Manchester, NH

Pay Rate: $40–$42/hr

Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM

Training: Must train on 1st shift for at least 2 weeks

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment. This position will troubleshoot equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and help minimize downtime while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain industrial machinery and electrical systems.

  • Work with PLCs, AC/DC drives, motor controls, and other industrial control equipment.

  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs as needed.

  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment.

  • Install and replace electrical and electronic components.

  • Perform basic wiring and conduit work.

  • Use electrical meters and other troubleshooting equipment.

  • Complete work orders, maintenance records, shift notes, and other required documentation.

  • Maintain spare parts inventory and order parts and materials as needed.

  • Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and installation projects.

  • Work with contractors and vendors when needed.

  • Follow all company safety, environmental, and OSHA requirements.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of electrical and controls experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with PLCs, AC/DC drives, and industrial control systems.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with machine maintenance and repair.

  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

  • Experience with electrical installation, wiring, and conduit.

  • Ability to troubleshoot using electrical meters and other testing equipment.

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn maintenance software.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician license.

  • Associate degree in a technical field.

  • Experience with CMMS or maintenance work-order systems.

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley controls and programming.

Pay Details: $40.00 to $42.00 per hour
