JOB TITLE

Back Office Operations Senior Associate

A CAREER WITH POINT72’S BACK OFFICE OPERATIONS TEAM

Point72’s Operations team supports all operational aspects of trade processing, reconciliation, financing, and reporting firmwide for all products, including equities, derivatives, bonds, foreign exchange and futures, and digital assets across global markets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Perform daily cash and P&L reconciliations, collaborating with global teams to resolve breaks efficiently.

  • Complete assigned daily tasks and reviews strictly within established servicelevel agreements.

  • Lead workload allocation and foster talent development across the team.

  • Partner with prime brokers, custodians, administrators, and external third parties to expedite break resolution.

  • Act as a senior team member to resolve complex tasks directly with counterparties and internal stakeholders.

  • Identify, prioritize, and implement straight-through-processing (STP) initiatives to enhance scalability, accuracy, and control.

  • Deliver fast, insightful answers to P&L inquiries from portfolio managers, traders, and investment colleagues.

WHAT'S REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Mathematics, or a related field (preferred)

  • 6+ years of Operations experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, bank, or fund administrator, including demonstrated leadership and ownership of complex operational functions.

  • Strong product knowledge across equities, futures, equity swaps, FX, derivatives, and fixed income instruments.

  • Advanced technical aptitude, with the ability to partner effectively with Technology and drive system and process improvements.

  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to operate with urgency and sound judgment.

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.

  • Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and self-directed, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and the MS Office Suite.
