Job Duties
The Head Start Float Teacher is responsible for assisting in classrooms of up to twenty preschool children.
Duties include providing classroom supervision on a daily basis during teachers’ breaks, providing coverage
when other teaching staff are on leave, assisting with the classroom and home visits if needed, and
performing various other duties.
Minimum Education Required

High School Diploma or equivalent

Must be able to obtain a Preschool CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential within two years of
hire.
Minimum Experience Required

Less than 1 year
